We all know how popular is the Mac Fix Plus but what if there are some alternatives that are beneficial for our skin, much cheaper and 100% natural. Some people even complain about the chemical smell that fix plus gives. Well try these alternatives and I guarantee you’ll never go back to the fix plus.

I have tried all the alternatives and both worked really well for me.

Argo Naturals 100% Pure Thanaka Powder Review

argo naturals thanaka powder

Argo Naturals is a brand that sells hand-cultivated products from the “Golden Land” Myanmar. What attracted me to their brand is their organic and natural products. Not only their product is natural but their packaging is also 100% biodegradable.

Their cult product is the Thanaka Powder. which is obtained from a Burmese Thanaka Tree. This powder is an ancient beauty secret of Burma It is a new and raving discovery in the beauty industry. It’s definitely a beauty staple in the East. I recently got my hands on this product so here’s my review… (more…)

100% Organic Botanics Facial Oil With Nourishing Rosehip Review

wavy-dark_thumb[2]

Facial oils are really hyped up right now by many makeup artists, beauty bloggers and youtubers. They literally rave about them. What is it about them even though they are oils?
Actually we had it all wrong when it was said that oils clog pores of our skin.
Chemistry says that ‘like dissolves like’ so if we want to get rid of things like sebum, whiteheads and blackheads then we have to target them with ‘like’ chemicals. In other words only oils can dissolve all the nasty oils from our skin.

The only way oils can clog our pores is if they are refined or comedogenic.
Any type of oil you buy, make sure they are organic or cold pressed at least.
Comedogenic simply means the ability to clog pores. But if you use non-comedogenic oils, they will never clog your pores and cause acne or anything.
So let’s get to the review…

I have used this facial oil for a year now and I have no idea why I didn’t do a review on it earlier. I will list out the pros and cons on this product and you can then decide if you want to try it or not 🙂

Pros:

  1. Gets rid of scars faster because it contains Rosehip oil. Check out one of my previous post for more info on this: DIY: Get rid of Scars/ Sun Burn/ Stretch Marks Naturally
  2. I didn’t find it greasy even though it is an oil so I recommend it for people with all skin types. So I can even wear it under makeup.
  3. It is actually nourishing but not heavy or greasy.
  4. It absorbs into your skin in about 5 mins which is pretty good for an oil.
  5. It repairs, rejuvenates and nourishes. All in one!
  6. It is 100% organic so it is safe for our skin. It is certified by Soil and Eco-cert Association.
  7. It is inexpensive compared to other facial oils.
  8. This bottle of 25 ml lasts for at least 2-3 months and I use it in morning and night sometimes.
  9. I love the packaging because it comes with a dropper which is super convenient.

Cons:

  1. If it goes in your eyes… it burns 🙁 I have no idea how I ended up with facial oil in my eyes. Crazy stuff happens. Its normal 🙂
  2. It is a glass-like bottle so it might not be travel-friendly.

So far I am very pleased with this product and I will continue to buy this again until I find a better facial oil. Until then… hope I gave you a reason to spend some bucks 😉
Let me know what you think about this product!

How 8 Scandalous Women Changed the World

Hi Girls! Today’s post is not about beauty or hair tips and tricks.
Today’s post is about Carol Cook and her new Book. She is a very talented author. Her book is called “How 8 Scandalous Women Changed the World” which is published just recently.

I was very interested in this book because personally, I am a true feminist.
It doesn’t mean I am against the whole male population being dominant but I like the style of being a feminine woman and hence I love dressing up, doing make-up or hair.
I love reading about the Japanese tradition of Geishas and how they played a HUGE part in ancient Japan.
I especially love reading about women who came from a difficult past but became immortal in our history. Their life stories have always been inspiring to me. I learnt a lot from them and that’s why I am looking forward to this book VERY eagerly. So I wanted to give her book a try.

I found the cover page really interesting too because the woman in the picture is wearing bangles on her hand and a saree I think (which is Indian Clothing). I could be wrong but that was my first impression of the cover. Therefore I am SO excited to read this. I can’t wait when I get this book and I will definitely do a review on it soon.

Here is the website: www.carolcook.us
Its definitely worth a try in my opinion. I am so ecstatic about the book and the stories of these 8 women.

Let me know your opinion if you have read it 🙂

My New Organic Miracle Hair Mask for Dry Frizzy Hair

As you guys know I try out MANY different natural stuff just to see if they work good or not and I only review the stuff that are not just good but EXCELLENT. And honestly, this is one of those reviews.
My hair is naturally curly so yes it tends to get frizzy and dry if I don’t take care of it.
So here is something that made a HUGE difference in my hair texture and look :)…

The miracle is (drum-roll)…………… SHEA BUTTER
Yes guys believe it or not.
And after explaining about the whole process I am going to give you guys a link of website in the end where you can buy ANY natural products for a REALLY cheap price and they are organic as far as I know.

What to Do?

  • So depending on the length of your hair take some Shea butter and put it in a bowl.
  • Its easier to apply it when it is liquid so I put it in microwave and melted it.
  • Make sure its warm NOT hot because this will open up your hair cuticles and the product with be absorbed in hair shaft effectively.
  • Massage it in scalp and apply to the ends. This is like a hot oil treatment and REALLY nourishing for hair.
  • I kept this overnight and washed it away in the morning.
After my hair was dry I could not stop feeling my hair because it was SUPER SOFT. Like a Miracle!
During the 2nd and 3rd day without washing hair, I noticed that my hair didn’t get frizzy at all.
My hair in winter is like a frizz ball sometimes so when I go out in winter I HAVE TO keep my hair up but this week my hair was as soft and un-frizzy as never it had been before.
I really recommend this product 🙂

Pros:

  1. Great Hair Mask
  2. I also noticed that when I used it as a moisturiser for a week, my skin was a lot firmer. I am not sure why but it happened 🙂
  3. If you have rough/black knees then this will help you
  4. This is a Multi Task Product basically and so saves LOTS of money
  5. It is sooooooooo cheap. Anyone can afford it.

Cons:

  1. Because the product is 100% natural, no perfumes or anything is added and so the smell isn’t really bad but isn’t really pleasant as well.
Here is the website I got the product from: E-Natural.Com

Yup that is true.

Natural Toners That DOESN’T Dry Out Skin

Most of the Toners really dried out my skin and I absolutely hated that especially in winter. At one point I got kind of flaky skin then I stopped using that toner. I put some research and I found a lot of toners that were natural out there. Yes, they sold NATURAL toners in REAL shops. I didn’t actually believe it first but I had to try it out. And so I did. Read more to know which one suits your skin the best…

Lush’s Tea Tree Water Toner

When I was watching reviews on this product, people said it made their pores smaller. Even my friend said it when she tried it out. But it didn’t make mine smaller 🙁 However, every one is different. It worked on most, it might work on you.
And the best thing I loved about this was that it didn’t dry out my skin or it didn’t over moisturised my skin.
It was just neutral. It didn’t even give me that tight feeling on the skin.
Its great for acne prone skin since tea tree is anti inflammatory and anti bacterial.
So its great for acne prone, combination-dry skin and the ones with large pores.

Rose and Glycerine Toner

First of all, I like its smell.
I read the ingredients and yes there were a few chemicals so it wasn’t 100% natural.
But I still tried it because I love rose water. It reminds me of India because a lot of princesses in ancient times used roses for beauty purposes.
Rose water is also good for acne prone skin because it has that cooling effect which calms the acne inflammations.
When I used this toner, I didn’t even use my moisturiser sometimes because the toner itself is moisturising.
I think  it can be a 2 in 1 product a toner and moisturiser at the same time.
This is perfect for anyone who doesn’t want too much product on their face.
Its great for dry skin type and acne prone skin 🙂

Sea Salt Toner

I haven’t found a NATURAL Sea Salt toner in shops yet.
So I thought to make one. I used it for about a month and it never dried out my skin.
I know you are like how can it not dry out skin because its salt.
Well I think its maybe because its SEA salt not Table Salt. So its not processed in factories.
You can check out this post on DIY: Pure Sea Salt Facial Toner.

I hope you found your perfect toner 🙂

DIY: Natural Setting Spray for Acne-Prone Skin

DIY: Natural Setting Spray for Acne-Prone Skin lavish krish
So there I was watching YouTube Beauty tutorials where the girls showed their favourite products.. A lot of them mentioned Mac’s Fix + Finishing/Setting Spray and they all said it was amazing. It made their makeup flawless after a few mists of this product. So I got really excited about buying this and I did buy it. I compared the Mac’s spray with my 100% Natural Finishing Spray. And here’s what I think which one is better and which suits what skin type.

You will be VERY surprised when I tell you about my skin-friendly setting spray. I use it after I have my foundation, concealer, bronzer and highlighter on and it just pulls the whole look together giving me flawless model-like makeup look.

Check out my recent post on Natural Mac Fix + Dupes.

It’s just simple Cold Water stored in a spray bottle. Yes, ONLY Cold Water.

I have bought the Mac Fix + twice because I REALLY liked it.
It was actually good but it made my skin a little shiny. So I tried again and didn’t spray too much this time but I had the same result. I had a shiny T-Zone.
Well I have naturally oily-combination skin so I thought this spray just made it more oilier.
But you can use it if you have dry skin.

natural setting spray for acne prone skin

When I use the Cold Water as a Finishing Spray, it makes me feel sooooo fresh and my make up is perfect. Its not too shiny and not too matte. It gives a subtle sheen which looks so natural and beautiful.
It wakes me up instantly if I am lazy in the mornings. And with this it doesn’t matter if you have dry or oily skin because it works with every skin type since it’s all natural.

It’s good for acne prone skin because it’s cold water, which calms the inflammation of acne. And there are no harsh chemicals going on your skin to aggravate the acne even more.
I use water from the cold tap in my bathroom to be honest. You can use cold filtered water as well if you want to be that careful but I just go for the tap water. Ain’t nobody got time to cool the filtered water haha.

The best thing is that it is absolutely FREE.

Best Hair Product Review

I have used this product for almost 2 years now and it is the BESTEST thing ever. And another thing is that it is not even expensive at all. It was around €3-5. Sorry I don’t remember the exact price. Its like a multi task product.
So it is a Anti- frizz serum AND a heat protectant so you don’t have to load your hair with products.

Its called Wella Shockwaves Style Serum and below are its pictures.
It has kind of a watery-gel like consistency (you can see in the last picture).
It is really light weight so it doesn’t weigh my hair down at all.
It makes my hair look so healthy and I always get compliments when I apply this.
It has UV Protection.
It has conditioning formula with Vitamin B5.
So many advantages in one :O Now you can see why I realllyyyyy like this.
This product has saved my hair-life because my hair used to be sooooo dry until I found this 🙂

You can buy this online if you don’t get this in American Drugstores. It totally worth it for €3-5.
I am NOT sponsoring this product at all. I never have done that. This is my HONEST opinion and I love it 🙂
