I was 13 when I actually started drinking green tea. I had all sorts of problems like acne, being over weight, ‘pregnant’ belly.. you name it and I probably had it! And right now I am 21 years old so literally I’ve been drinking green tea CONSISTENTLY for 8 years and I’ll tell you about all the magical things GREEN TEA has done for me.
FUN FACT: Green tea contains an active ingredient called ‘Catechin‘ which helps speed up the body’s metabolism and hence lose weight.
When we think of keeping our belly flat.. it automatically triggers a thought that we have to put a ton of effort and time into it.. but its not true and I am the perfect example in this situation.
I personally don’t like putting a ton of effort and time into keeping my belly flat because this is something we have to be consistent with and time + effort + consistency into something I am not passionate about is… very hard. So I figured out a way of getting a flat belly without too much effort and its 100% effective. And I thought why not share some of my secrets so I put up a video on my channel..

This is actually an Ayurvedic (Ancient Indian) recipe. My grandma used to make me this milk to keep me ‘fair and beautiful’ like she always told me ^_^ The main ingredient: turmeric is the wonder spice (or fairy dust if you’re trying to get your kids to drink it haha).

Fun Fact: In a research experiment involving obese men, an intake of 30 grams (2 tbsp) of coconut oil for 4 weeks reduced waist circumference by 2.86 cm, or 1.1 inches.
Its like coconut oil is the solution to all problems these days.. Its everywhere!! For hair, skin or body.. Coconut oil will take care of anything. I think at this point every home should keep a jar of it.. and now I sound like those ladies in sponsored ad shows.. Buy one and get one absolutely free haha Nah I am just kidding!

Hello my angels! I wanted to dedicate a whole post to this one tip that is so important if you’re on a journey of weight loss but it is also the most unknown and neglectedtip. Not a lot of people know about it because it’s quite a small thing to do but it makes a big difference. I have talked about it in one of my previous posts but I didn’t emphasis how significant it is. It’s one of the tip that health experts swear by so read more to check it out ..
I have been trying out this detox water for a few weeks now and let me tell you how AMAZING it is!!! It is easy to make and you don’t need any weird ingredients. Detox water helps in getting rid of the toxins from your liver and melt all the fat. Doesn’t that sound lovely… So if you have that little pooch in your lower belly or in my case.. a pregnant-like belly (sorry for TMI), this is perfect to kick-start your metabolism, give a boost of energy and refresh your morning. I started noticing results in only10 days. Now that’s an elixir of life for me because I have been constantly looking for something to slim down my belly area and nothing has worked better than this so far. Read more to get your belly slim and healthy… All You Need: 3 slices of cucumber Half a lemon or lime 1/2 tbsp grated Ginger 3-4 Mint leaves 1/2 tbsp honey
The cucumber slices should be as thin as possible so it can add more flavour to the water.
Squeeze the lemon juice in your cup. I also add one more slice of lemon just because it looks nice in my cup and adds colour… I know it doesn’t matter but hey.. it makes the drink look more refreshing and summer-y.
Ginger is the main ingredient here because it really boosts your metabolism up for the day. Grate the ginger and add it in your cup.
Mint leaves add the most refreshing flavour to the drink so just add the leaves in your cup. It doesn’t matter if they are frozen or fresh.
Now add water to fill your cup. The water should be approximately 200-300 ml.
Add honey after adding the water and stir it all up.
I prepare this detox drink just before I go to sleep and put it in the refrigerator overnight. Then I just drink it up in the morning. You can also make it in the morning and add some ice cubes but who has time in the morning. I drink this first thing in the morning and I keep a 15-20 mins gap before eating my breakfast. In those 15-20 mins I finish doing my make-up or hair for the day.
You can also fill this water in a bottle and bring it to your workplace or if you are travelling around constantly. I would love to just pull out this bottle on a hot summer day. In Ayurveda the ginger is said to ignite the fire (not literally of course) for better digestion and a healthy gut. It increases the digestive juices and improves absorption of the nutrients in your body. Honey cleanses the gut and adds sweetness to conceal the taste of ginger. Mint contains a lot of vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants to improve your digestive power. Also it tastes good in the water. Lemon and cucumber maintains your metabolism throughout the whole day. On the days I have this detox drink, I feel like my energy levels are much higher and this makes sense because if your metabolism is higher then you will feel much more energetic. I also get more appetite since the metabolism has increased, I feel hungry more often. Who doesn’t like eating food constantly..
But of course you have to eat healthy and clean. You can indulge in junk food for a day or two in a week keeping it to a minimum quantity but if you eat nachos with extra cheese everyday then you can’t expect effective results. My belly is almost flat now and it’s been 3 weeks that I am on this detox. Although I wasn’t consistent with it because of some travelling but even though I didn’t keep it up everyday, it has given me an amazing result. Now my travelling days are over so I have been consistent with it lately. I have tried detox drinks before but this one was the most effective with noticeable results.
Why is it that when some people don’t even try to be fit and they are perfectly healthy. If you are someone who wants to lose weight, be healthy and fit at the same time but can’t seem to figure out why nothing is working out then click on read more right away… This post is NOT about losing weight in an unhealthy way. To be honest counting calories doesn’t help at all. Speaking from experience!
1) First of all don’t call it a Diet. I think this word leads to a lot of negativity. As soon as we think of the word diet we start thinking about the bitter tastes of green juices, eating food that doesn’t even taste good but we still pretend it does and a LOT of self-control. Dieting is not about throwing away carbs and calories. It is about balancing all the types of nutrients. You can still eat carbs BUT in moderation. Don’t deprive yourself from certain nutrients. Believe it or not but healthy fats and carbs actually exist. 2) If you are going to lock away certain foods somewhere you can’t reach just so you don’t get the craves… the chances are you will get the cravings even more. Because if you deprive yourself from something your body will naturally react to it and you will end up eating the junk food even more than before. What you can do is to learn to buy or cook food that can imitate the food you are trying to avoid. For example, if you REALLY like chocolate, go to your local health store and find organic chocolate. The sweeteners used in them are organic like honey or maple syrup. And trust me some of them are as good as Cadbury. I eat dates to stop the sugar-y cravings 🙂 They are actually good. So all you have to do is find the healthy food that imitates the taste of junk food. Simple as that! 3) Stop obsessing and stressing over losing weight. And especially stop the negative thoughts. The difference between the people who try a lot but don’t get results and the people who do nothing but are healthy is they do not take as much stress. Negative thoughts such as comparing yourself with someone (like those skinny models on magazine covers) and blaming yourself everyday for not being healthy are not going to make you any healthier. In fact it is better you do nothing than have these negative thoughts. Read my nerd fact below and I will prove it! Nerd Fact: In a recent book I was reading, it stated that whenever we have a thought, it sparks an impulse from neuron to neuron so it can spread out. This “spreading out” causes a pattern of understanding and action. However if we have negative thoughts, a chemical cortisone is released. It blocks the way between neurons preventing the impulses to spread out. Ultimately causing you to feel more miserable and lazy and hence being unhealthy. BUT if you have positive thoughts, our brain releases a chemical called serotonin which is what I call the nerd-hormone because it makes you smarter and more creative. This chemical makes a way for the impulses to spread and expand. It makes you feel happier about yourself and more active and hence resulting in well-being. See, science can be explained without the big words that I can’t even pronounce. Learn How to use Comparisons for growth instead of feeling inferior. 4) Do NOT eat food at least 2 hours before going to bed. Actually it is stated in Ayurveda(Ancient Indian Medical System) that you shouldn’t eat food once it gets dark because the Sun is a big factor when it comes to digesting food. I am not going into those details because I do not want this post to be 2 pages long but you can Google it. When it gets dark, the Sun isn’t there to digest our food properly and so it can’t metabolize all the food. And the food that haven’t been digested turns into Ama (toxins). Ama is the cause of many diseases and makes you feel lazier. When did you feel that lately? You can eat your dinner anytime before 7 p.m. at the latest avoiding fatty, sugar-y foods and red meat. This will digest your food before you go to bed, thus improving the quality of your sleep, enabling your body to focus on cellular repair and renewal during the night rather than working hard on digesting the food. I am definitely not telling you to starve yourself. If you get hungry you can eat a small fruit or drink some fruit juice. This eating pattern is especially good if you are trying to lose weight and to get clearer / flawless skin. This also helps if you have insomnia. 5) The size of each of your meals and the number of meals you eat in a day are also very important. Click HERE for more info on this. This stuff is seriously important. 6) LOVE your body. When I say this, people think that if they start loving their body then that means they will just have to be happy with their type of body and that they will never change.
That is not true! Loving your body is the first step towards change in fact. If you think loving your body will only end up in being stuck with it then you are wrong. That’s how my mentality was as well until I had some experiences and learnt my lessons. As I explained in my “nerd fact above” this will release the positiveness causing physical changes in your body to occur. It will bring opportunities in your life and make you feel much more energized. When I had acne, I used to hate my skin and curse it every time I looked at myself in the mirror resulting in more acne. But then I woke up one day and realized I didn’t deserve all that curse and I was being much more harsh on myself than anyone else. It’s like I was bullying myself and didn’t realise how worse it had gotten. So I woke up and literally started saying positive words for my skin. I even went out without makeup which was a pretty HUGE step considering the fact that I NEVER used to leave house without makeup. I started saying positive affirmations and expressing gratitude every single day. I reassured myself that these acne spots are not going to define who and what I am. So when I started loving my skin for what it is that is when I saw and felt the change. That was a turning point in my life! If you want to know more about this I really recommend reading Louise Hay’s book Heal Your Body. If she healed herself from cancer, you can heal yourself from anything!
Your body is the greatest gift from God. Treat it like a temple where you soul resides
