HARLEY QUINN Halloween Look: Hair, Makeup & Costume DIY

HARLEY QUINN Halloween Look: Hair, Makeup & Costume DIY

Suicide Squad was definitely one of my favourite movies this year. And the character of Harley Quinn took it to a whole new level. Her crazy personality mixed with the passion and love for Joker took my heart away.

Her costume seems quite complicated but because it’s rugged and messy.. it’s way EASIER to recreate than it looks. The makeup is the fun part because you can make it as sexy as you want for this halloween. Read more to check it out…

Fun Fact: The original character of Harley Quinn is actually Jewish as well as bisexual.  (more…)

DIY Mirrored Nightstand | No hammering, drilling etc.. required

These mirrored nightstands are so popular on instagram, tumblr, pinterest and possibly every social media you can think of. BUT they can be so expensive so here’s a great DIY which requires NO hammering or drilling or anything crazy.

Its super easy even I can do it. If I can do it, you can definitely do it lol. Let’s just say I wasn’t meant for these workshop chores.

This DIY project was made by April and she has an amazing YouTube channel. She does a lot of hair care videos and DIYs!

DIY 20 Cute Christmas Decorations (Quick Last Min Ideas)

DIY 20 Cute Christmas Decorations (Quick Last Min Ideas)

Its almost 2 weeks to Christmas and we all deal with that last min rush whether it’s about wrapping the gifts (which most of us suck at) or decorating the house.

The Christmas spirit is everywhere. Dublin around this time is the most beautiful with all the lights and pretty decorations. Although if you are going there for shopping at this time of the year… good luck waiting in the 2 hr queues everywhere! It can get.. a little crowdy. But it’s totally worth it with the most amazing friends! Below is just a glimpse of what Dublin looks like during Christmas and yes that’s the main city centre.

Dublin was my main inspiration to do this post so keep reading for some cute and easy DIYs for the holidays! (more…)

DIY Gratitude Jar

If you know anything about the law of attraction and stuff.. you’ll know how gratitude and counting your blessings can change your life… literally!
So every night before I go to bed, I will write out my gratitude of the day on a small note and put it in this jar until the day it will be filled.
I don’t know what I’ll do with all the notes once it is filled but I will decide it then!
I hope you guys like it and send me a picture if you decide to make one yourself Smile

DIY

  1. Get a large empty jar
  2. I took a paper bag and cut it out in the shape as shown in picture. I punched a hole at the arrow part and then used a black pen to write the words in calligraphy style. I chose to write positive words on them! You can write anything you want. Whatever floats your boat 🙂
  3. I assembled the paper bag tags on a string and tied it around the jar. I tied it loosely to give a shabby chic look
  4. I tore a page from one of my old books. I used the lid to trace the shape of a circle and then I cut it out. I glued the circle on the lid because I was opting for a vintage-y style
  5. I cut out two rectangular pieces of different colour and glued them together to make a label. I wrote “gratitude jar” on it with some funky designs. I also had some lace tape lying around so I stuck it at the bottom of the jay and on top of the label. You can glue some ribbon on it as well! I finished the decoration by sticking an owl piece on the corner of the label. It was actually attached to a hair bobbin but I never used it so I glued it on the label. You can stick any old piece of jewelry and jazz it up in your own way.
And that’s pretty much it! I love how it gives the shabby / vintage look. That’s actually the theme in my room so everything in my room is vintage style. It looks super cute on my window sill.
Do you keep a gratitude jar?
Send me a picture if you create one as well 🙂

Share it if you’re inspired xx

DIY: 10 Back to School Arts & Crafts for Organization

sm-martha-paint-6

When we start school, everything is perfectly organized but then when we are almost at the end of a semester everything is a mess!

I start my year with a pretty organized pencil case and then by the end there are highlighter stains on it… most pens are missing… I lose things and can’t find them… I get in trouble at school for losing copies and what not!

This happened to me A LOT in my 7th grade but I learnt some things on my high school journey!
So here are some cute easy-to-make DIYs…

Just click each the link to check out the full DIY 🙂

All you need is cardboard for this and it literally takes minutes to make it! You can even decorate and glue the dividers with some pretty paper or tape.

2) Faux Storage Books

bb_shelves

These books look SO cute on a shelf. It does the 2in1 job: Its a decorative piece for your bedroom AND it stores things! How cool is that!
This is made out of cardboard too so you don’t need any fancy materials except decorative paper. But they are really inexpensive.

3) Cardboard Drawers

5) Key Holder

cdddf698dc78d3e99dc355c2e1342048

During my high school years I have lost countless keys literally and I hated it!!
Then I made this thing with a photo frame and decorative pieces and some hooks.
You can print a quote and stick it on with glue. It did make a difference to be honest.
Instead of the faux roses, you can use ribbons and bows or anything you want Smile
I am sorry I don’t have a full DIY link but I hoep you’ll get the basic idea from the picture above!!

Here’s another option for making a key holder above.

6) School make-up clutch / Pencil Case

FTXJKDSGREQ9O8R.LARGE

This cute and small clutch is perfect if you don’t have a lot of space in your bag and you still want to carry a little make-up.
In my high school, when the bell rang for lunch all the girls would run to the bathroom to blot their make up.
Some girls would even use their lipsticks to write on the toilet doors!! It was terrible!!

7) Organize Hair Scrunchies

Final-w-hand

Don’t you just hate it when you lose them during emergency bad-hair days.
Well you can make it small enough to fit it in your bag or the clutch shown above. It looks really chic and cute and it is SO inexpensive.
Choose you own ribbons or you can even personalize it Smile

8) Cute Pen Holder

IMG_7492

The picture above shows forks stored in the can because it is supposed to be for birthday parties BUT you can use the same thing to store pens!! Who said you can’t be creative with it!!
You can put it in your locker for those days when you lose all your pens which happened a LOT with me!!
Or you can put it on your study table and store your stationary.

DIY: 3 Creative Candle Holders

Currently, I am doing a project in my Technology class where I am making an Electric Candle Holder so I typed in Google for some inspiration and I came across some pictures of DIY Candle Holders which were absolutely amazing. So these aren’t really my ideas but I wanted to share with you all.

My Favourite One:

I think its pretty obvious. I don’t need to explain much here. But just for the sake of blog…
Find some twigs and branches from your back garden or nearby parks.
Cut them in equal sizes with.. I guess scissors if they work and be careful 🙂
Use hot glue guns or PVA glue or any liquidy glues to stick them on a container that looks like the one in picture.
I personally like the small cute ones than the big one.
After glued, leave them overnight and you are done!!
You can tie a rope like a ribbon as shown as well. Use your own creativity 🙂

I love this one because you can make it from scrap books.
So get some decorative paper. It doesn’t have to be the exact one shown in picture.
Glue the paper on the outside of the jar.
Tie several rounds of string on the top of jar and you can hang some pieces you want. Like in the picture, they hung a key.
Click HERE from where this really cute idea came from.

All you need is paper, scissor and container.
I love the way its white and elegant.
