My hair care routine currently 🫶🏽 Explaining each step below ⬇️⬇️ All products linked on the @amazonca storefront in my bio ☺️ Make sure you use products according to your hair type! More info on my ‘Hair Porosity’ highlight on my page.

1️⃣ Hair brushing using a wooden hair brush. This helps to stimulate the scalp and loosens up any dead skin on my scalp
2️⃣ Hair oiling: I used a mixture of argan, jojoba and rosemary oil. I mix equal amounts of argan and jojoba and 5-10% rosemary.
3️⃣ Shampoo: I shampoo only my roots to keep the ends from getting too dry. I used @amika hydro rush shampoo which is AMAZING! Love how it lathers beautifully but doesn’t dry my hair out 👏🏼
4️⃣ Condition: I apply conditioner and do a squish-to-Condish method to really hydrate my hair. Lmk if you need a demo for this
5️⃣ I put my hair in a Microfibre towel
6️⃣ Post-wash: I apply leave-in treatment from @amika as well and I lock it in with 2-3 drops of jojoba oil

Signs of damaged skin barrier is textured skin, acne, skin irritation/redness and dehydrated skin 🤗 So to fix the skin barrier, first of all avoid using actives such as AHA, BHA, retinols and Vitamin C. Also avoid exfoliating your skin with scrubs! ❌
Instead focus on hydrating the skin as much as possible and locking in the hydration with a thick moisturiser. Use products that soothe the skin! ✅
Over exfoliation or stress can damage the skin barrier so this is a reminder for my girlies to not let the stress take over your life. And if you stress always remember to come back in alignment with your higher self 💖 ALL PRODUCTS ARE LINKED ON MY LTK ✨

The last tip was the most important for me 🫶🏽 I truly had to change the words I spoke to myself and the thoughts I had when I looked at myself in the mirror because WORDS HAVE POWER and whatever you say or think of yourself is what will manifest ✨ So choose your words and thoughts wisely! Other than that I try to eat a moderately healthy diet and keep my stress levels low 🫶🏽 Don’t get me wrong though.. I am a human as well and I do eat junk food or I do stress now and then but I always try to bring myself back in the positive realm. We all fall off the wagon but what’s important is you come back in alignment ☺️
