Miranda Kerr is one of the most popular Victoria Secret Model. In some of her interviews, she shares her skin secret of Noni Juice. She consistently drinks it every morning to maintain her physical appearance and health. She have been drinking it for almost 12 years.
She also substituted Noni in her Organic Skin Care line, Kora Organics as one of the most significant ingredient. Most people are unaware of what it is so I put a lot of research behind it and gathered it all in this post. So stay tuned for this new Skin Care Breakthrough…

So, What is Noni?

Noni’s scientific name is ‘Morinda Citrifolia’. It is a member of the Mulberry family also called ‘Indian Mulberry’. The Noni plant grows along lava flows and, as you would expect, grows rich in South India, Hawaii and Australia.

What is the History of Noni?

It is believed that this plant arrived on several Polynesian islands over 1,500 years ago from India.
Noni has been a central part of Polynesian traditional medicine.
This plant was considered as a miraculous healer in Ayurveda. Ayurveda is an ancient Indian, highly advanced system of natural medicine. Ayurveda is still practiced today in some parts of the world and I always try to substitute some Ayurvedic ways of living in my life. It has made a huge difference in my physical and mental health. If you have any further questions about Ayurveda, you may click on the ASK ME? tab above.
When Europeans began exploring the islands of the South Pacific in the late 1700s, they made note of the use of Noni among the natives. Captain James Cook owned journals where he recorded his observations of the natives using Noni.

During World War II, U.S. soldiers based on Polynesian islands were instructed in their field manual that Noni was recognized as a safe food staple to eat to sustain their strength.

How 8 Scandalous Women Changed the World

Hi Girls! Today’s post is not about beauty or hair tips and tricks.
Today’s post is about Carol Cook and her new Book. She is a very talented author. Her book is called “How 8 Scandalous Women Changed the World” which is published just recently.

I was very interested in this book because personally, I am a true feminist.
It doesn’t mean I am against the whole male population being dominant but I like the style of being a feminine woman and hence I love dressing up, doing make-up or hair.
I love reading about the Japanese tradition of Geishas and how they played a HUGE part in ancient Japan.
I especially love reading about women who came from a difficult past but became immortal in our history. Their life stories have always been inspiring to me. I learnt a lot from them and that’s why I am looking forward to this book VERY eagerly. So I wanted to give her book a try.

I found the cover page really interesting too because the woman in the picture is wearing bangles on her hand and a saree I think (which is Indian Clothing). I could be wrong but that was my first impression of the cover. Therefore I am SO excited to read this. I can’t wait when I get this book and I will definitely do a review on it soon.

Here is the website: www.carolcook.us
Its definitely worth a try in my opinion. I am so ecstatic about the book and the stories of these 8 women.

Let me know your opinion if you have read it 🙂

DIY: Expert Tips for Perfect Eyebrows

To be honest when I was 13, I used tweezers for my eye brows and they were NOT perfect at all. They were straight across and just awful.

Now, after 5 years I have learnt it from the experts on YouTube. I get soooo many compliments from my friends too. So of course I am speaking from my experience.

On the left is my picture before 4 years. I am in my uniform but anyways see the way my brows are straight across.. ughh :/
And now you can see me on the right. I took this picture a few weeks ago but its the latest one that clearly shows my brows.

I will also link a video on how to do threading at home. Threading might seem complicated but it’s not. Once you get used to it, you will be a pro. Click HERE for the tutorial.

Threading makes your hair grow slower than tweezing and that is why I use this method now.

Tips:

1) When you are tweezing/ waxing, relax your face and keep your brows in the normal position. DO NOT lift them and tweeze. Because this will give you that straight-across brow.
2) If you already have straight brows, start by growing some brow hair on the top and ALWAYS tweeze them from the bottom. Don’t tweeze them from the top until you get rid of the straight brow shape. This will give you that curve.
3) Try to tweeze your brows only from the bottom and very less from the top. This will help you maintain a good shape.
4) The inside of your brows should start from where your inner corner of the eye is or the edge of your nose.
5) The end of your brow should be diagonal to the edge of your nose to the outer corner of your eye. I hope this make sense.
6) In my opinion your arch should depend on the expression of your face. So lift your brows and you will kind of notice the arch and that’s where it should be. Otherwise you can follow the picture shown above.
7) If it is your first time then PLEASE get them done professionally and then you can maintain that shape. This is the mistake I made. It doesn’t cost much as well.

Let me know if it helped you 🙂 Take Care.

DIY: Celebrity Skin Care & Products

Do you get that feeling when you are watching TV and you just wonder “How do they NEVER get any skin problems and always have that glow?” I always get that feeling. So here are some skin care tips that celebrities use. Some celebrities were interviewed and asked questions on their skin routines so here are their responses:

Jennifer Aniston:
“Most of the nights I just use Neutrogena soap” and “I have been washing my face with baking soda for years. It’s not harsh on my skin and gives me a glow.” Now I don’t know about using baking soda on face because I have never tried it but if you guys want to give it a try. I would suggest this for girls with oily skin though.
Neutrogena Original Formula Facial Cleansing Bar, Fragrance Free $8

Kim Kardashian:
Here’s a gross-out fact: Your cell phone is a bacteria farm because you spend all day pressing your face to the pad. The dirt and oil in your face embeds itself on the keypad and then you smash that against your face. Once a week, take a small amount of rubbing alcohol on a cotton pad (not dripping or you’ll break your phone) and disinfect.
Kendall Curity Nonsterile Alcohol Prep Pads, 300 count $3.15

Jennifer Lopez:
She said several times that honey is her secret weapon for beautiful glowing skin. It is an acknowledged fact that honey contains many nutrients and vitamins that are essential our complexion.

Halle Berry:
She advises us to use fruit acids to exfoliate skin and dead skin cells. I completely agree with her and do suggest it. I haven’t tried it but I think I will now. You can do it with avocados, oranges, kiwis and so on..
