Nailed It: Christmas / New Year Nails
Here is a gold and dark plum nail art for this Christmas and New Year’s.
To make it festive you can change the dark plum color with a dark red one. And instead of a huge snowflake you can add tiny cute ones.

1. Here’s how to do the snowflake. This tutorial is by HannaRoxNails. Check out her blog for some amazing and easiest nail art tutorials. The dark plum color I am wearing is by Catrice in Vino Tinto 38.
2. On my index and little finger I did an ombre with a nude and white color like shown in the picture below. I painted my entire nail with the nude color. Then using a sponge I applied the white color starting from the bottom of the nail. Let the nails dry and apply large chunky glitter polish using a sponge again. Apply only on the top part of the nail!
3. On my thumb I simply painted it a dark plum color and then using a sponge I applied the glitter polish starting from the bottom of the nail. This creates a flawless gradient!
4. And finally on the ring finger I applied the same nude color I used on my index and little finger. I then topped it off with the glitter polish and you’re done!
To add a shine and make your nails last longer use a really good top coat. I used Wet n Wild’s Wild Shine Clear Nail Protector which makes my polish last upto max 2 weeks. It’s really amazing especially for such a small price! Since I have started using this my friends always ask me how my nails stay the same for 2 weeks.
I hope you like this tutorial.
