How to Stop Hair Breakage Naturally!

When I was in my teens, my hair would break by just running my fingers through them.

And then there’s the horror of too much hair in the bath tub. Yup, I went through that! That horror was worse than watching Paranormal Activities.

So I spent hours on trying to get help from google and anyone else who suffered through it. There were lots of solutions but most of them were a fail.

The one’s I mention below are the ones that worked best for me and they are all 100% natural. Adding sulfates and ammonium to your hair is the last thing you want to do if you are trying to make them stronger…

1) Tight Hairstyles

This was the number one reason my hair used to break off.

At that time, I was all about messy updos and tight ponytails because I just hated my hair coming on my face while I am in school. So I would tie up my hair really tightly on most days. This really weakened and damaged my hair shaft.

So to fix this, I started to keep my hair down as much as possible and if I want my hair to stay out of my face, then I just pin my fringe/bangs in a poof. Below are my favorite anti-breakage hairstyles when you want to keep hair out of your face.

This is just a lace braided fringe/bangs. It literally takes two mins!

This hairstyle is super cute and quick for school days!

2) Stop frying your hair!

Seriously though.. heat is a big no no! Especially if you use those tools almost every day. You can use them once in a while but definitely not on a daily basis.

Heat not only weakens your hair but it also gives you split ends, frizzy and dry hair. Overtime, it will also give you premature grey hair!!

I haven’t applied heat to my hair for a few months now.. and my hair still stays frizz-free, perfectly styled and healthy of course. Let me know if you guys want to know the hair products (natural) I use for healthier hair.

3) Scalp Oiling

I have been doing this method for years now. Actually it’s an Indian thing where most women use coconut oil, castor oil or sesame oil as a hair mask. They apply it on their hair and massage it into the scalp for 5 mins. This promotes hair growth, nourishes and strengthens the hair. It also makes your hair grow much faster.

This is how my hair is super long and thick. You can see it in the picture below.

I do this method once every week and leave it on for at least 2 hours. I then shampoo it out normally. If you want in-detail instructions.. check out the video below!

Please remember that shedding 50-100 hairs everyday is normal so don’t freak out 🙂

These tips have changed my life and the way my hair brush looks. It stays clean.. most of the time!

Let me know if you have any other tips and what works for you!

Take Care
